Our space provides a place where women can connect with their body and with their menstrual cycle, as well as transmitting knowledge about sexuality, reproduction and body care.
The Red Carp movement stems from the ancestral traditions of different Native peoples, including Native American peoples in which women gathered in Lunar Teepees when they were menstruating.
The Lunar Teepees were sacred spaces in which the older ones taught the younger ones to honor feminine wisdom and the creative fire that emanates from the womb. In this way, the female body was considered sacred due to its connection with Mother Earth and the Universe.
At Mama Yemi's house, the Red Tent we have intended an authentic sacred womb, a beautiful space where we will share experiences, knowledge and above all we will connect with the beautiful nature of our mother earth within this natural cave.
